What is ESG?
ESG reporting is defined as the disclosure of data that explains a company's impact and added value in three areas: the environment, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
ESG is an umbrella term for components of sustainable and responsible finance. It is a framework that considers environmental, social, and governance factors in addition to financial factors when making investment decisions. It is also a process for determining how companies perform/score on each of the following factors: E-S & G, and determining whether or not it is a viable investment.
